School’s open, the weather is starting to get chilly and Halloween is coming. So what better way to start the season then with a creepy looking horror movie.
The Houses October Built:
Beneath the fake blood and cheap masks of countless haunted house attractions across the country, there are whispers of truly terrifying alternatives. Looking to find an authentic, blood-curdling good fright for Halloween, five friends set off on a road trip in an RV to track down these underground Haunts. Just when their search seems to reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the Haunt has come to them…
A chat with Sideshow’s Creative Director, Tom Gilliland, about the creative process of conceptualizing their statues.
A nice history of what films influenced Star Wars.
The video below is directed and edited by Tomi Pietilä, with cinematography by Teemu Saarinen and 3D art by Tommi Tuominen. Batman is played by Harri Kailanto. I particularly like the fact that it walks that fine line between being too detailed and too simplistic. It’s affectionate without being overly reverent.
While everyone anxiously awaits the Superman/Batman movie, DC Comics is certainly giving us more than enough this coming television season. Between the third season of Arrow and the new Gotham series, you’d think that would almost be enough to satiate every comic book fan out there. Now with The Flash ready to hit the small screen, not to mention that it will tie directly into the Arrow universe, DC it hitting on all cylinders. I can’t wait for the fall TV schedule to start.
